You have to be very careful dealing with them.

I will give you an idea of the price range for used and cheap laptops and what you should look out for before buying a used laptop because nobody will give a guarantee for used product.

Laptops can be categorized into (Pentium 1 – 4). A P4 will certainly be faster than a P3 while a P3 is faster than a P2.The class is determine by the level of  the  microprocessor and the memory of the laptop.

One of the things you should check before buying a used laptop is the battery back up time. Charge it to the fullest and wait right there to check how many hours it used before the charge runs out. A 1 hour backup time for a used laptop is not bad.

 Also check the charging port by plugging the charger in and removing it back several times to see if it making contacts each time before buying it. Don’t forget it’s a used Laptop. 

Also check the charger if it has not been repaired by looking for any kind of soldering trace on it.
